4. Products & Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe our lock products, including specifications, finishes, compatibility, and features. However:

  • Product images are for illustrative purposes. Actual product appearance, finish tone, and dimensions may vary slightly.

  • Lock compatibility with door types, thicknesses, and existing hardware depends on your specific installation. Always verify compatibility before purchase.

  • Smart lock products require compatible devices, apps, and connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, or Zigbee) as specified per product. We are not responsible for incompatibility with your home network or smart home ecosystem.

  • We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or change specifications of any product without prior notice.

  • Product availability is subject to change. We will notify you promptly if an ordered item is out of stock.

Important: HappyLocks products are designed for standard residential and commercial applications. They are not rated or warranted for high-security or government-classified installations unless explicitly specified.

5. Pricing & Payments

5.1 Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without notice; however, the price confirmed at checkout will be honored for that order.

5.2 Taxes

Sales tax will be applied to orders based on your shipping destination in accordance with applicable state and local laws. HappyLocks collects and remits sales tax in states where we have a sales tax nexus.

5.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

  • PayPal

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay (where available)

  • Financing options through third-party providers (subject to credit approval)

All payment transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors. HappyLocks does not store your full card details on our servers.

5.4 Order Confirmation

A confirmed order constitutes an offer to purchase. HappyLocks reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, suspected fraud, or product unavailability. You will be notified promptly and any charged amount will be fully refunded.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Please refer to our Shipping Policy (Section IV of this document) for full details. Key points:

  • We ship to all 50 U.S. states and select international destinations.

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guarantees.

  • Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery by our carrier.

  • Inspect your package upon receipt. Report visible damage to the carrier immediately and contact us within 48 hours.

7. Installation Disclaimer

Door lock installation involves working with hardware, drilling, and may require a locksmith or licensed contractor. By purchasing from HappyLocks:

  • You acknowledge that improper installation may void the product warranty.

  • You accept full responsibility for ensuring the product is correctly installed per the provided instructions or by a qualified installer.

  • HappyLocks is not liable for property damage, personal injury, or security breaches resulting from improper installation or misuse.

  • For smart locks requiring electrical wiring or integration with existing access control systems, we recommend engaging a licensed electrician or smart home installer.

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy (Section III of this document) for full details. Key points:

  • Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition.

  • Installed locks are not eligible for return for hygiene and security reasons.

  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of return receipt.

  • Custom-keyed, special order, or final-sale items are non-returnable.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including but not limited to the HappyLocks name, logo, taglines, product designs, photography, instructional videos, technical diagrams, packaging, and website design — is the exclusive intellectual property of HappyLocks, Inc. and is protected under U.S. copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws.

You may not reproduce, republish, modify, sell, or commercially exploit any content without express written consent from HappyLocks. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

"HappyLocks" and associated product line names are trademarks of HappyLocks, Inc. Other trademarks appearing on this Site (e.g., Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit) belong to their respective owners.

10. User-Generated Content

When you submit reviews, photos, videos, or other content to our Site or social media channels tagged with our brand:

  • You grant HappyLocks a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content across our marketing channels.

  • You confirm that your submission does not infringe third-party rights, contain false claims, or violate any applicable laws.

  • HappyLocks reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove user content at its discretion without notice.

  • You retain ownership of your original content.

12. Warranty

HappyLocks products are backed by a limited manufacturer's warranty, the terms of which are included in the product packaging and available on each product page. General warranty terms include:

  • Mechanical components: Lifetime limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

  • Electronic/smart lock components: 3-year limited warranty against defects.

  • Finish warranty: 1–3 years depending on finish type.

Warranty does not cover: damage from improper installation, misuse, accident, normal wear and tear, corrosion from environmental exposure, or unauthorized modifications. Warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HappyLocks, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;

  • Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption;

  • Any damages exceeding the total purchase price paid for the product(s) in question;

  • Security breaches, burglaries, or unauthorized entries where our products were properly installed and used as intended.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental damages, so some limitations above may not apply to you.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except for the express limited warranty stated in Section 12, this Site and all products are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Third-Party Links & Integrations

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, integrations with smart home platforms, or references to third-party services. HappyLocks does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, privacy practices, or products. Your use of third-party services is governed by those parties' terms and policies.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
