Refund policy

At HappyLocks, we stand behind every product we make. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return.
1. Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following criteria:

Returned within 30 days of the delivery date;

In its original, unused, and uninstalled condition;

In the original packaging with all hardware, keys, installation guides, and accessories included;

Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation email or receipt).
Installed locks cannot be returned. Once a lock has been installed on a door, it is considered used for security and hygiene reasons and cannot be accepted for return.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return under any circumstances:

Installed or mounted lock products;

Customized or special-keyed lock products (e.g., keyed alike to a specific existing key);

Smart lock products where the pairing or user codes have been programmed;

Final sale or clearance items (marked as such at time of purchase);

Products damaged due to improper installation, misuse, or accidents;
-
Products purchased through third-party retailers — please contact the retailer directly.
3. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, follow these steps:

Email us at support@happylocks.com or call +1 (800) HPY-LOKS within 30 days of delivery;

Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return;

We will review your request and, if approved, email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and prepaid return shipping label (for defective or incorrect items) or return shipping instructions;

Securely repack the item in original packaging and attach the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box;
-
Drop off the package at the designated carrier location within 7 days of receiving your RMA.
Returns received without an RMA number may be refused or subject to a processing delay.
4. Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are handled as follows:

Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: HappyLocks covers return shipping via prepaid label.

Change of mind or size/compatibility issues: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method. HappyLocks is not responsible for returns lost in transit.
5. Refunds
5.1 Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved:

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days;
-
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or our error;
-
For credit card refunds, it may take additional business days for the credit to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
5.2 Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued in the following situations:

Item is returned missing accessories, keys, or packaging components (deducted from refund);
-
Item shows signs of use or installation attempts but is being returned under a warranty claim.
5.3 Exchanges
We offer exchanges for the same product in a different finish, size, or for a replacement of a defective unit. To request an exchange, follow the return process above and specify that you want an exchange at the time of your RMA request. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
6. Damaged or Defective Products
If your order arrives damaged or defective:

Contact us at support@happylocks.com within 48 hours of delivery;

Include photos of the damaged packaging and product;
-
We will ship a replacement at no charge or issue a full refund — your choice.
For products that develop defects after installation, please refer to our Warranty terms in the Terms and Conditions.
7. Wrong Item Received
If you received an item different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange collection of the wrong item and ship the correct product at no additional cost to you.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel an order free of charge within 1 hour of placing it by contacting us at support@happylocks.com or calling +1 (800) HPY-LOKS. After this window, your order may already be in fulfilment. If fulfilment has begun:

We will attempt to intercept the shipment but cannot guarantee cancellation;

If the order ships, you may return it under our standard return policy after receipt.
